YUNNAN, July 8 – Chinese media reports that fruits from Binchuan County in Yunnan, China are gaining attention from fruit buyers in China and around the world.
According to Yunnan Daily, grapes and other fruits in Binchuan County, part of the Bai-Dali Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan began to enter the market in June. This year, the 2024 Binchuan Fruit Fair was held and attracted fruit buyers from China, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries. During the fair, various cooperation agreements were signed, with a total contract value of 1.294 billion yuan (about 6.518 billion baht).
Binchuan County has sufficient sunlight, warm temperatures, dry weather, and little rainfall, making it suitable for growing a variety of fruits.
The county mainly grows oranges and grapes. In 2023, Binchuan County exported fruits to 10 countries and regions, including Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar, the United States, Bahrain, Georgia, and Indonesia. -819 (TNA)
