BANGKOK, Dec 26 (TNA) – Koh Kradan, an island in the Andaman coastal province of Trang has secured the 2nd position in the top 10 trending domestic tourist destinations as Google Thailand disclosed the results for the most popular search terms for the year 2023.
Ms. Ladawan Chuaichart, the head of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Trang office said that the tourism situation in Trang has been positively received since the end of April.
The acknowledgment of being the best beach in the world by the English website World Beach Guide has led to a consistent increase in popularity, she said.
Koh Kradan has also secured the 2nd position in Google Trend searches among tourists looking for travel destinations and information, spanning from Christmas to the New Year festivities.
A continuous flow of tourists arriving at the Pakmeng pier in Sikao district to board boats to explore Koh Kradan. This is especially prominent during the upcoming New Year holiday season, she added.
Recently, more than 5,000 accommodations in Trang province, including those on various islands like Koh Kradan, Koh Mook, Koh Sukorn, and Koh Libong, as well as other areas, have received positive responses.
Tourist attractions on the islands have started to see an influx of visitors. Starting from December 25, 2023, to January, 2024, people can join the New Year countdown celebration organized by Trang Municipality and similar events on Koh Sukorn.
It is estimated that during this New Year and Christmas season, tourism will generate approximately 500 million baht in revenue. -819 (TNA)
