BANGKOK, Aug 25 (TNA) – The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) will consider the relaxation of COVID-19 control measures this Friday.
CCSA assistant spokesperson Dr Apisamai Srirangson said the operation committee of CCSA would discuss weaker disease control measures tomorrow (Aug 26) and propose its decision to CCSA chaired by the prime minister on the following day.
The operation committee would consider comprehensive information and CCSA would discuss the issue at 9am on Aug 27, she said.
According to CCSA, there were 18,417 new COVID-19 cases and 297 new fatalities on Aug 24. During the same period, 21,186 patients recovered and were discharged while 189,268 remained at hospitals for COVID-19 treatment.
The total cases rose to 1,102,368 and the death toll in the country reached 10,085. (TNA)
