PATTANI, May 28 (TNA) – A motorcycle bomb killed two people and injured 22 others at a market in the southern border province of Pattani on Monday.
The victims are a woman and a 14-year-old boy while four paramilitary soldiers and 18 civilians were wounded.
The bomb on the parked motorcycle was detonated when security officials arrived at the market late afternoon.
The motorcycle was stolen from the owner in Songkhla’s Chana district two years ago, according to the initial investigation.
Pattani police chief Pol Maj General Piyawat Chalermsri ordered officials to gather evidence and to find out which insurgent group was behind the attack. (TNA)
