PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Oct 25 (TNA) – The European Union (EU)’s Ambassador to Thailand on Thursday visited the Kui Buri national park to see wildlife and abundance of Thai western forest.
Kui Buri district chief, Chatree Chanweerachai received the EU’s ambassador to Thailand, Pirkka Tapiola and his entourage in a forest trip to the Kui Buri national park in Prachuap Khiri Khan.
The EU ambassador was briefed on preparation to combine Thailand’s western forest complex with the Kaeng Krachan national park in Phetchaburi to be the World Heritage Forest sites. The Kaeng Krachan forest complex is now in the UNESCO’s tentative list.
Kui Buri is said to be the best spot to view wild elephants in Asia.
The group, led by park officials watched a herd of wild elephants, roaming for food in the nature and gaurs, grazing in the Kui Buri national park. (TNA)
