BANGKOK, April 23 (TNA) – The Stock Exchange of Thailand
(SET) and China’s Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) sign an agreement to promote
collaboration on capital markets and SMEs promotion.
Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on
Tuesday, SET and SZSE agree to expand business opportunities for Thai and
Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) broaden opportunities in
investment as well as promoting cross-border collaboration between the two
sides.
In five years, SET and SZSE will provide information on SMEs
as well as financial markets of the two countries via online portal.
SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai said ChiNext-mai
Alliance was a network aimed at facilitating the communication and cooperation
between companies listed on Market for Alternative Investment (mai) and ChiNext
Market.
This would arrange business matchings and roadshows to
promote Thai and Chinese securities’ growth potential in both countries, he
said.
SZSE Executive Vice President Li Hui said the SZSE which was
the world eighth largest stock market with 2,134 listed companies would
continue cooperation on the China-Thailand SME Capital Market Service
Initiative.(TNA)
