BANGKOK, June 9 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha
on Tuesday rejected a speculation over a Cabinet reshuffle.
After the weekly Cabinet meeting, Gen Prayut responded to
reporters’ questions about the possibility of a reshuffle following a power
struggle in the ruling Palang Pracharat Party.
He insisted that no reshuffle would be made for the time
being.
Party politics in the Palang Pracharat Party emerged last
week when members of the party’s executive committee resigned in an apparent
move to for a new leader to replace Finance Minister Uttama Savanayana.
The change would pave a way for, most likely, a reshuffle of
economic ministers.
In its weekly meeting, the cabinet also discussed issues
involving the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing measures to control the virus.
