YALA, Oct 29 (TNA) – A group of libraries in Malaysia offer a learning program called Knowledge Expedition (Jerayawara) Malaysia-Thailand 1.0
“I’m in your heart” to four provinces in Thailand’s far South.
Representatives of public libraries in Malaysian states of
Kelantan, Perlis and Pahang signed an agreement with Yala municipality on
Tuesday.
The program will see the Malaysian libraries organizing
knowledge-based learning activities for people in Thailand’s provinces of
Narathiwat, Pattani, Songkhla and Yala.
A Malay Language Corner will be opened inside TK Park Yala,
which was opened 12 years ago.
Yala mayor Pongsak Yingchoncharoen said TK Park Yala that
had served over 23 million people as a center for learning in the past 12 years
would be upgraded under the agreement.
The program would enhance cultural exchange and borderless
connectivity for Malay-speaking populaces, he said. (TNA)
