Seven hajj pilgrims tested positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19 after returning from Saudi Arabia and they have been admitted to a treatment system.

The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration announced two potential Omicron cases in the country – two unvaccinated Thai women who worked as interpreters and returned from Nigeria.

Although Omicron cases were found in many countries, there should not be a significant impact on the Thai economy in the short term.
