The levels of particulate matter 2.5 micrometers and less in diameter exceeded its safe threshold in 43 provinces this morning.
The Energy Ministry and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) activated the “Sensor for All” network of air quality sensors at about 1,200 locations nationwide to check air quality in real time and support proactive solutions to air pollution.
Heavy air pollution from fine dust will continue until Dec 17 due to stagnant air, according to the permanent secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office.
