The government supports the Phuket model to welcome back foreign tourists, said Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul but he cannot say if it can be implemented by October as originally scheduled.

A deputy government spokesperson said the Phuket Model of welcoming foreign tourists would not be implemented in the near future and Thai people should go on vacation to help the local economy.
