BANGKOK, Aug 7 (TNA) – National Police Chief Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda will disclose progress made in the investigation into Bangkok’s bombings at a press conference tomorrow (Aug 8).
The police have detained seven suspects so far for their involvement in series of blasts and small fires at 14 locations in Bangkok and Nonthaburi on Aug 2.
Pol.Lt.Gen. Kraiboon Suadsong, member of the working group to solve the bombing cases said the national police chief will give the details tomorrow after he and the Prime Minister traveled to Yala today to follow up questioning the suspected, detained there.
Some suspects are Narathiwat natives and were arrested while they were about to cross the border in Sungai Kolok.
Two suspects, accused of planting two bombs in front of the police headquarters were arrested in Chumphon province.
Fingerprints and DNA, collected from the devices have been examined to identify the persons, who made the bombs.
Forensic officials also collected fingerprints and DNA from the taxi, the suspects, riding from the scene to the bus terminal as shown on the CCTV camera footage. (TNA)
