BANGKOK, July 6 (TNA) – The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) is expected to offer free ride from Hua Lampong station to Tha Phra station in Thonburi to the public as part of a trial run late this month, said MRTA governor Pakapong Sirikantaramat.
An internal trial run from Hua Lampong to Bang Ka in Thonburi, the MRT’s Blue Line extension has already started, aimed at allowing concerned MRTA officials to be familiar with an integrated mass transit rail system in order to ensure safety to passengers.
If the current trial run proves successful, then the MRTA would allow people to participate in the free ride from Hua Lampong to Tha Pha in late July. (TNA)
