BANGKOK, June 24 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha thanked all parties working for the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) and expected the trust-based development initiative would result in security and happiness for people of the three countries.
Gen Prayuth made his remarks in the 12th IMT-GT Leaders’ Summit after concluding the 34th ASEAN Summit.
IMT-GT would significantly support the ASEAN Community and create considerable business opportunities, he said.
On the occasion he proposed the meeting consider product and service development to meet new consumption behaviors and the development of green logistics and cities.
Gen Prayut said that his government was speeding up infrastructure development to link the mainland and the Sumatra Island.
Besides, Thailand was improving its important farm products including rubber, oil palm, fish and halal products to increase the values of their exports, he said.
Gen Prayut said he was confident that mutual trust and comprehensive cooperation would allow the IMT-GT initiative to create concrete and fair benefits for people of the three countries. (TNA)
