BANGKOK, June 20 (TNA) – Thailand joins hands with China’s
marketing enterprises to boost fruit export to China.
The Internal Trade Department of Thailand on Thursday signed
an agreement with China’s Commercial Association for Sustainability of
Agriculture (CASA) and China Agriculture Wholesale Market (CAWA).
Wichai Pochanakij, Director-general of the Internal Trade
Department, said Thai fruits marketing campaign would be launched at over 8,200
CAWA-operated retail markets across China.
Executives of CAWA and CASA had toured Thailand’s fruit
producing provinces and held discussions with officials and farmers on Thai
fruit opportunities in China.
Under the agreement, CAWA would facilitate logistics with
Green Lane system for Thai produce, he added. (TNA)
