BANGKOK, May 25 (TNA) – The leader of Future Forward Party Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit has ceased his MP duty until the Constitutional Court delivers a ruling on shareholdings in media enterprises.
During the first meeting of the Lower House today, acting House Speaker Chai Chidchob asked the House secretary-general to read the order of the Constitutional Court, saying Mr. Thanathorn must temporarily stop performing his MP duty and had no right to vote for House Speaker until the Court delivers a ruling.
Thanathorn then said he would stop his MP duty as ordered by the court.
He later told reporters that as a representative of the people, his duty does not only involve working in parliament. He will continue his work outside parliament to meet people, listen to their problems and inform them to his party MPs. (TNA)
