BANGKOK, May 22 (TNA) – The Thai government hosted a
banquet to celebrate the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha attended the banquet for
Sheikhul Islam of Thailand, ambassadors of Muslim countries and Thai Muslims at
a hotel in Bangkok Tuesday night.
The premier addressed the gathering conveying his best
wishes to all Muslims for achieving the practices in the holy month and
successfully fulfilling their commitment and devotion.
Fasting and the abstinence from certain activities were the
great practices that uplift individuals, who could then contribute for peace
and prosperity of the society, he said.
“On the auspicious occasion of the Ramadan … I would like to
wish all Thai Muslims happiness and good health. And achieve all of what you desire,” he said.
