BANGKOK, April 6 (TNA) – Collection of sacred water from 107 sources throughout 76 Thai provinces was held Saturday for the coronation ceremony of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, or King Rama X, due to take place between May 4 – 6.
Either provincial or deputy governors presided over ceremonies.
A similar sacred ceremony will be held at Bangkok’s Grand Palace on April 12, marking the capital as 108th blessing place for the ceremony.
The water consecration rituals will be held each province’s principle temple on April 8. The consecrated water will be sent to the Interior Ministry in Bangkok on April 10 and will be carried in a procession to Wat Suthat Thep Wararam for the water consecration ritual again on April 18.
The holy water will be moved to Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram on the next day for use in the coronation ceremonies. (TNA)
