BANGKOK, March 27 (TNA) – Pheu Thai, Future Forward, Prachachat, Puea Chat, Thai People Power and Thai Liberal parties announced their partnership to form the next government.
Key members of the parties made the announcement in a press conference at Lancaster Hotel today.
Ms Sudarat Keyuraphan, chief strategist of Pheu Thai, said the parties grouped with 255 potential House seats in hand to meet people’s expectations.
Although the New Economics Party did not join the press conference, it shared the same stance and signed an agreement with the other parties to stop the National Council for Peace and Order from extending its power, she said.
She also said that pending the announcement of official election results by the Election Commission, some prospective House representatives could be disqualified or defect but Pheu Thai and its partners already recorded their unofficial votes to cope with such attempts.
Ms Sudarat said the seven political parties on her side would secure the partnership and she hoped other parties would join it for the sake of national interest. Pheu Thai would also approach other parties, she said. (TNA)
