BANGKOK, March 9 (TNA) – In an attempt to ensure that eligible voters for a general election could return home upcountry and exercise their voting rights, the Transport Co., Ltd., operator of inter provincial buses has prepared sufficient buses to cater the commuters.
Managing director of the company Jirasak Yaowatsakul said he expected majority of the people to travel home between March 22 and 23.
He ordered station masters of provincial buses to prepare sufficient facilities for the passengers including passenger seats, cleanliness of toilets and the stations.
In another development, the company also facilitates migrant workers in Thailand, who have to travel upcountry and renew their work permit this month. They can book bus tickets in advance through the company website www.transport.co.th or through its call centre 1490. (TNA)
