CHIANG MAI, March 6 (TNA) – Thailand-made compact
electric vehicle FOMM One makes its debut at a show in the northern Chiang Mai
province.
Designed and developed by the Kanagawa-based company, FOMM One
is marketed by the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) as an alternative
clean vehicle for urban life.
Mr Thirapong Burirak, PEA senior official, said PEA launched the
marketing campaign for Chiang Mai offering the micro EV with under Bt599,900
price tag.
The four-seat and light-weight EV also came with special
water-proof feature, enabling it to be driven in floods, he said.
With fully-charged battery, FOMM One can cover a distance of
up to 160 km with top speed of 80 km per hour.
The executive of the PEA, who is electricity provider, also
said battery charging took six hours and cost only Bt36.
Environmental-friendly FOMM One would be a perfect choice
for city dwellers, because of its compact size and high mobility, said Mr Thirapong. (TNA)
