BANGKOK, March 4 (TNA) – The Business Development Department joins hands with Wongnai Media Co to promote Thai restaurants, awarded Thai SELECT quality mark through the company’s digital platforms.
The department and Wongnai Media, operators of the country’s largest food and lifestyle review portal and application signed a cooperation agreement today.
About 500 local Thai restaurants nationwide, given Thai SELECT logo will be promote through Wongnai digital platforms to over 10 million viewers per month, including foreigners, who travel to Thailand to taste authentic Thai food.
Besides the signing ceremony, Vuttikrai Leewiraphan, the department’s director-general presided over a seminar for Thai restaurants with Thai SELECT logo.
Food and food business gurus shared their experience and give suggestions for 250 Thai restaurant owners, attending the seminar.
ML Kwantip Devakula, celebrity chef of royal Thai cuisine and judge of master Chef Thailand, a keynote speaker, talked about the standard of Thai cuisine under the Thai SELECT sign.
More Thai restaurant owners are invited to apply for the certification this year.
Thai SELECT logo was first introduced in 2006 to award Thai restaurants abroad. (TNA)
