BANGKOK, Feb 27 (TNA) – Prosecutors will decide on the indictment of Future Forward Party (FFP) leader, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit and two party officials for computer crime on March 26 – two days after the general election.
The trio, including party registrar, Klaikong Waithayakan and party executive member, Jaruwan Saranket went to the Office of the Attorney-General today after police asked state prosecutors to indict them on charges of putting false information into the computer system.
They were ordered to come back to hear the decision whether the prosecutors will indict them or not on March 26.
In the meantime, there will be no detention during this process.
The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) filed the complaint to the police after the FFP leader and two other party officials claimed during their Facebook broadcast last year that the NCPO had poached former MPs from many political parties.
If convicted, they could face a maximum of five years in jail. (TNA)
