RAYONG, Jan 24 (TNA) – A South Korean man was arrested
for allegedly murdering and dismembering the body of his compatriot in
Thailand’s Rayong province.
The mutilated body parts of Choi Myonghoon, 34, were found
on Monday in a forest in the eastern province.
The prime suspect Kim Hongchun reported to South Korean
Embassy in Bangkok who later handed him over to Thai police.
The man was brought for interrogation at the Crime
Suppression Division of the Royal Thai Police on Thursday.
Police then took the suspect for a crime enactment at the
scene as investigators said three body parts – head, right arm and thigh – were
still missing.
Choi was previously arrested in Bangkok in 2015 for illegal
gambling. It is suspected that conflict
in online gambling business was the motive of the murder.
Police will search a rental house in Rayong where both men
are said to have shared.(TNA)
