BANGKOK, Jan 15 (TNA) – The Royal Thai Air Force’s two Basler BT-67 planes released water mist to allay the dust problem over affected areas.
Each flight can carry about 3,000 litres of water and sprayed water mist at 1,500 feet. Five flights carry out the mission today to reduce haze in Don Muang and Chatuchak districts.
The Basler BT- 67 aircraft from Wing 46 in Phitsanulok is used to support the artificial rainmaking operation and also to spray water to contain forest fires and alleviate haze and fine dust.
The RTAF also dispatched medical staff of its medical services to give advice to residents and hand out 300,000 carbon masks, with 99% filter efficiency rating against particles as small as 0.1 micron. (TNA)
