NONTHABURI, Dec 21 (TNA) — The Commerce Ministry’s Department of Business Development joins hands with six partners to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with software to facilitate their businesses.
Wuthikrai Leeweerapan, director-general of the department, said the “Total Solution for SMEs” project involved its partners namely the Association of Thai Software Industry, the Thailand Tech Startup Association, an organization of office software providers, Kasikornbank, Siam Commercial Bank and TMB Bank.
The project was aimed at providing SMEs with technological access and it covered software to facilitate SMEs’ points of sales, office operations and accounting. The offered software also supported business matching for SMEs, Mr Wuthikrai said.
Apart from the software applications, the department also source financial support from financial institutions for SMEs and software developers. The support was in the forms of grants and soft loans, he said. (TNA)
