GERMANY, Nov 28 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha visits Germany to strengthen bilateral relations and expand economic partnerships.
Arriving for the three-day visit, Gen Prayut said he was glad to receive a warm welcome from Thai people there and he would do his best to promote good ties between Thailand and Germany.
He also said that the president of Germany invited him to pay the visit and the invitation also complied with a resolution of the European Union.
“It is a good opportunity to develop good ties between both countries,” Gen Prayut said.
He hoped the visit would support Thailand and Germany in pushing for economic and social security in their regions and promoting bilateral cooperation on energy, education, research and development.
Gen Prayut said that both countries signed 19 memorandums of understanding for the cooperation and he would ensure they would be implemented.
He also said that Thailand needed to learn about German railways to apply the knowledge for its railway development. (TNA)
