BANGKOK, Nov 27 (TNA) – Thailand’s Prime
Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha begins his official visit to Germany where he will
meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel to discuss about regional partnership
for development.
Gen Prayut is accompanied by his wife, Naraporn, and Cabinet
ministers for the visit between November 27-29.
According to government officials, the Thai premier will
hold talks with the German leader focusing on strengthening relations between
the two countries through bilateral and regional frameworks including ASEAN.
Thailand hopes to forge closer bilateral cooperation for
sustainable development with a notable emphasis on vocational education and
technical development for Thailand’s workforce, officials say.
Gen Prayut will attend Thai-German Business Forum, a
gathering of German business leaders on the theme Asia-Europe Partnership for
the future.
He is expected to invite German businesses to consider
investment in Thailand’s mega project, East Economic Corridor (EEC).(TNA)
