BANGKOK, Nov 22 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha inspected links between boat transportation and the electric rail network in the eastern part of the capital this morning.
The prime minister started his boat trip from the Wat Sri Boonrueng School in Bang Kapi district to the Paseo Town community mall in Saphan Sung district.
Passenger boats are an option for commuters to avoid congested traffic in Ramkhamhaeng area.
Gen. Prayut was briefed about the progress in development of Saen Saeb canal and boat transportation.
The Paseo Town is the parking area for commuters to park their personal cars and hop on public transport under the park and ride project.
Shuttle buses are offered there to carry passengers to the Airport Rail Link, which can connect the main electric rail routes in inner Bangkok.
After observing public transportation network, he also visited a Muslim community, a mosque and a child development center in Klong Sam Wa district. (TNA)
