BANGKOK, Nov 10 (TNA) — Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has ordered related government agencies to provide extra care for flood victims, especially sick people, said a government spokesman Puttipong Punnakanta.
Gen Prayut is closely monitoring flooding situation in the South, particularly in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s Bang Saphan district, from concerned state agencies and ordered officials to give extra care to flood victims, said the spokesman.
People living in flood-prone areas are asked to be evacuated to appropriate places, he quoted the prime minister as ordering officials. The patients should be moved from the flood risked hospitals to places digsinated.
Food, drinking water, medicine and daily necessities must be reserved and enough for flood victims, Gen Prayut told the officials.
So far, Gen Prayut is satisfied with performances given by state agencies in assisting flood victims, according to the spokesman. (TNA)
