The Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP) expelled a group of 21 MPs including its secretary-general Thamanat Prompow, blaming them for dividing the party.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha had Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Thamanat Prompow be removed from office while the latter said he resigned because the prime minister and he did not share the same goal.

The Royal Gazette announced deputy agriculture minister Capt Thammanat Prompao and deputy labour minister Narumon Pinyosinwat were relieved of their ministerial positions.
