Starting tomorrow, the price of diesel will see a reduction of two baht per liter, bringing it down to 30 baht per liter from the current approximate rate of 32 baht per liter.
The Cabinet has decided to reduce electricity prices from 4.45 baht to 4.10 baht per kilowatt-hour, starting this September, said Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said after the first Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
The Board of the Oil Fuel Fund has resolved to subsidize diesel prices by 1.65 baht per lire to maintail the retail price at 32 baht per litre after the diesel excise exemption measure expires on July 20, says the Oil Fuel Fund Office (OFFO).
The government spokesman expressed gratitude towards transport operators for their understanding and acceptance of the government’s measures to cap the diesel price from December to March next year.
About 700 big trucks showed up for their trips on 4 main streets to the Energy Ministry in inner Bangkok this morning to demand the government solve the high diesel price.
