Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charvirakul planned COVID-19 vaccinations at the Bang Sue Grand Station in Bangkok for elderly people and patients with chronic diseases whose inoculation appointments were postponed by hospitals amid a shortage of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Registration for COVID-19 vaccination will start on May 1 for 16 million at-risk people, according to the Public Health Ministry.

200,000 initial doses of COVID-19 vaccines from Sinovac Biotech Ltd of China will be for medical personnel, disease control workers and health volunteers in five provinces that are maximum COVID-19 control zones.
