The Royal Gazette announced the constitutional amendment which restores the two-ballot election system, one for the election of 400 constituency representatives and the other for 100 party-list representatives.

The parliament turned down a constitutional amendment bill earlier proposed by over 100,000 people as the bill failed to win support from the majority of members of the parliament.

Three coalition parties submitted nine constitutional amendment bills to change some sections, for example, for an end to senators’ right to vote for a new prime minister and a new electoral system.
