BANGKOK, April 8 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha handed financial aid worth 4.22 million baht to 140 officials who were affected by COVID-19 and expressed gratitude toward donors.
Gen Prayut presided over a ceremony to present the financial aid raised from donations through a bank account of the permanent secretary’s office under the Prime Minister’s Office to help the officials who were affected by their duties to control COVID-19 outbreaks.
The prime minister said that the donations for affected medical personnel and officials tasked with COVID-19 control resulted from collaboration between the government, the private sector and the civil sector and it was extra assistance in addition to the normal aid that the government sector already offered.
He said he hoped that the financial assistance would boost the morale of the officials and their families as the officials devoted themselves to working for national and public interest. (TNA)
