BANGKOK, Nov19 (TNA) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai said he met the Myanmar junta leader, had a constructive conversation and handed donations to Myanmar.
Mr. Don said he visited Myanmar on Nov 14 as the situation in Myanmar was an important matter.
Many countries discussed the situation and expressed their intention to offer humanitarian help to Myanmar. They made donations and he handed the 17 tons of donations to Myanmar, Mr. Don said.
The Thai private sector was among the donors out of its concern for the neighboring country, he said.
During his visit to Myanmar, Mr. Don said he met Snr Gen Min Aung Hlaing, the present prime minister and military chief of Myanmar, in Naypyidaw. They discussed important issues and the conversation was fruitful and produced positive responses, Mr. Don said. (TNA)
