KRABI, Nov 16 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha chaired a meeting on the development of six southern provinces facing the Andaman Sea and approved seven urgent projects estimated at 494 million baht for their development.
The seven projects that were set for completion within a year include a project to improve health services and environmental health on Koh Lipe in Satun province, a learning center project for the protection of dugongs and other rare sea animals in Trang province and a project to develop historical and environmental tourist attractions in Ranong province.
Other projects are the Phuket Health Sandbox project in Phuket, the Park Khaolak seaside recreational center project in Phangnga, a project to improve a tourist pier at the mouth of Khlong Jilad in Krabi and a project to develop the Khlong Thom hot spring site in Krabi.
The meeting also approved a plan for the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) to nominate Phuket as the venue of the Specialised Expo 2028 which could see the circulation of about 49.23 billion baht and the creation of 113,439 jobs. (TNA)
