UBON RATCHATHANI, Oct 15 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is visiting the northeastern province of Ubon Ratchathani to inspect local water situations.
Gen Prayut who is also the defence minister has paid the visit together with the ministers of energy, interior and digital economy and society.
The delegation saw the implementation of a renewable energy project and the Khok Nong Na farming model and met a network of the villagers who adopt the farming model as well as community development volunteers.
At noon the prime minister and the ministers were scheduled to visit the Sirindhorn hydropower dam in Sirindhorn district to inspect local water management and a floating solar project at the dam which is the world’s largest hybrid power generation facility.
There the prime minister’s delegation will be briefed on the water management of Ubon Ratchathani. Then they will meet flood victims at the Pracha Warin pavilion before returning to Bangkok in the evening. (TNA)
