BANGKOK, July 14 (TNA) – The Chulabhorn Royal Academy said it did not plan to administer different COVID-19 vaccines for the first and second doses because they were newly developed for emergency use only.
The academy recommended individuals receive two doses of a single COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the permission that vaccine manufacturers received. The recommendation does not include the people whom researchers are studying and those who developed severe side effects after their first jab and should instead receive another vaccine for the second dose under doctors’ supervision.
Meanwhile, the public health office of Nonthaburi province said its inoculation adhered to the same vaccine method.
The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration reported 9,317 new COVID-19 cases and 87 new fatalities over the past 24 hours. The new cases comprised 9,188 among general people and 129 among prison inmates.
Over the past 24 hours, 5,129 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals. (TNA)
