BANGKOK, July 2 (TNA) – The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) never received for scrutiny any draft contract for the procurement of the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Moderna , said Prayuth Petchkhun, OAG’s deputy spokesman.
OAG denied the report that the Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) could not sign a contract for the procurement of the Modern vaccine because OAG had not finished scrutinizing the contract though having received it months ago.
OAG said that GPO had asked it to check a contract for the acquisition of the COVID-19 vaccine made by Sinovac and the National Vaccine Institute and the Department of Disease Control had asked it to examine a contract for the procurement of the COVID-19 vaccine by AstraZeneca.
OAG said it had finished the scrutiny of both contracts within five days only. It had completed the tasks swiftly and carefully to ensure maximum benefits for the nation and general people, it said. (TNA)
