BANGKOK, June 4 (TNA) – Thailand reported 2,631 new COVID-19 cases and 31 new fatalities resulting from the disease over the past 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 2,442 were general people and 189 were prison inmates. Meanwhile, 2,493 previous cases recovered and were discharged from hospitals in 24 hours.
From April 1, there were 143,116 COVID-19 cases, 93,271 of whom recovered.
Meanwhile, the Ekamai-Ram Intra branch of Home Pro store was closed for three days from today (June 4) to Sunday for disinfection. The closure followed the announcement of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration that the store posed risks of COVID-19 transmission.
During the closure, its staff members will be tested for COVID-19. Those test positive will receive treatment and the rest workers will be quarantined for 14 days.
All workers there will be quickly vaccinated against the disease. (TNA)
