BANGKOK, March 19 (TNA) – Samut Sakhon governor fully recovered from having coronavirus and was discharged from Siriraj Hospital today after spending nearly three months there for the treatment.
He thanked the medical team for taking care of him while being in hospital and thanked people for their moral support.
Before returning to Samut Sakhon, he joined Prof Dr Prasit Watanapa, dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and Siriraj Hospital’s director Dr Wisit Wamwanit in a press conference.
He said he thought he could be infected with coronavirus following his visits to many outbreak areas. However, he did not expect to experience severe symptoms.
He had slept for 42 days while being on ventilator. When he gained conscious, he had limb weakness. Now, he was worried about rehabilitation for people affected by Covid-19 in Samut Sakhon, he added.
Samut Sakhon became a Covid-19 hotspot when a new wave of infections was reported at the Central Shrimp Market in December. (TNA)
