BANGKOK, Nov 30 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said he was not worried about a court case of his occupation of a house meant for military officials, saying people should not be concerned prematurely.
Gen Prayut who is also the defence minister said that people should not jump to any conclusion on the case on which the Constitutional Court would rule on Dec 2. He said he was not worried about the issue and he respected the justice system no matter what the case would turn out to be.
“It is unnecessary to have a plan for the ruling of the Constitutional Court. I would like to hear the ruling before deciding on further action. Do not think about it too early. No matter what result will be, I will accept it,” the prime minister said.
Asked if he will move to Phitsanulok Mansion which is the official residence of the prime minister, Gen Prayut said the residence was under renovation and was too big and he was not concerned about any superstitious rumors about the place. He said he had been doing good for the nation, religions and the royal institution and was never involved in any corruption, so he believed that holy spirits would protect him.
Gen Prayut also said he prepared a private residence in case that the Constitutional Court orders him to leave his military house. The private residence had a limited area and would be guarded because a prime minister deserved security, he said. (TNA)
