BANGKOK, Oct 3 (TNA) – The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration reported eight new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 infection.
All of them were quarantined arrivals, raising total cases to 3,583. Of all the cases, 138 people were at hospitals. The death toll remained unchanged at 59.
Seven of the eight new cases are foreigners. Three of them arrived from the United States, two from India and one each from Pakistan and Russia. The other case is a Thai national returning from the United Arab Emirates.
Meanwhile, Bangkok University conducted a survey on Thai people’s precautions against COVID-19.
Of 1,215 respondents sampled nationwide, 88.1% said they continued to wash their hands regularly, eat newly cooked food and use personal spoons and 28.8% said they were observing less social distancing. (TNA)
