Eight new cases comprised six persons, travelling from the U.S., one case from Australia and the other from Japan. Currently, 93 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospitals .
Meanwhile, amid fears of the Covid-19 outbreak spreading from adjacent Myanmar, the test results of illegal border crossers showed the 20-year-old man and the one –year-old child tested negative to the Covid-19, said Kanchanaburi governor.
The test result of the 17-year-old man has not known yet.
The governor said the temporary closure of the Baan Kui Yae school in Thong Pha Phum district complied with the disease control measures after some students came in close contact with these people, who illegally entered Thailand through natural border passes and fell ill.
The investigation found that they live near the border and did not visit at-risk areas in the past two week before crossing the border into Thailand. (TNA)
