BANGKOK, Aug 8 (TNA) – Thailand logged three more cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 who were in quarantine, reported the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration.
The total cases rose to 3,348 including 411 people who arrived from other countries and were quarantined.
Of the total cases, 3,150 recovered and were discharged from hospital including two who were released over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, 140 patients were at hospitals. There were no new death cases and the death toll remained unchanged at 58.
The three new cases included two Thai male students aged 24. They arrived on July 25 and were quarantined in Chon Buri province. They tested positive for COVID-19 on Aug 7 but showed no symptoms. They were on the same flight as 12 previously confirmed cases.
The other new case came from Indonesia. The 32-year-old Thai man worked for a construction company. He arrived on Aug 3 and was quarantined in Samut Prakan province. He tested positive for the disease on Aug 6 while being asymptomatic. (TNA)
