CHONBURI, April 28 (TNA) – Pattaya police staged reenactment of the murder of a transwoman with the Chinese suspect, who claimed rage fueled the crime and denied any trafficking involvement.
The reenactment took place at key locations, including Walking Street and the apartment where the killing occurred, closely monitored by the victim’s relatives.
Tensions escalated at the police station as the victim’s father attempted to assault Fu Tongyung, 42 striking him with a water bottle before officers intervened. The father expressed deep sorrow over the loss of his daughter, the family’s primary provider.
Chonburi Provincial Police Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Thawatchai Jindakuansanong emphasized the public’s shock at the brutality of the crime.
A swift investigation led to the suspect’s arrest at Suvarnabhumi Airport before he could flee.
Authorities confirmed the suspect and victim met on WeChat, leading to a fatal argument at a rented apartment after a late-night meeting on April 25.
CCTV footage showed the suspect leaving the next morning.
The suspect confessed to mutilating the body and removing organs and implants out of “curiosity” after watching a dissection series.
He also admitted to a dispute over a paid sexual encounter that turned violent, resulting in him strangling the victim after she refused his advances and a refund request. -819 (TNA)
