PHNOM PENH, April 23 (TNA) – Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, accompanied by her spouse, began an official visit to Cambodia on Wednesday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two neighboring nations.
Invited by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, Paetongtarn and her delegation, which includes several key ministers, will be in Phnom Penh from April 23-24.
The visit includes an official welcome ceremony at the Cambodian Prime Minister’s Office, followed by bilateral talks between the two leaders. They will also preside over the unveiling of a commemorative logo marking the 75th anniversary and witness the signing of several key agreements.
The Thai Prime Minister is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on Senate President Hun Sen, National Assembly President Khuon Sudary, and King Norodom Sihamoni.
This marks her first official visit to Cambodia as Prime Minister and is a key part of the year-long celebration of the 75th anniversary of Thai-Cambodian diplomatic relations. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as security, cross-border issues, economic ties, development cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges, as well as promoting regional collaboration. -819 (TNA)
