BANGKOK, March 4 (TNA) – Thai cyber police have conducted raids across nine locations in many provinces, resulting in the arrest of over 30 suspects, including a woman known as “Minnie,” linked to an extensive online gambling network.
This marks the second time Minnie, whose full name is Thanyanan, has been apprehended in connection with illegal gambling operations.
The raids, carried out with search warrants, targeted residences in Bangkok and Loei province. During the search of Minnie’s home in Loei, she was not present, but authorities seized evidence.
A separate operation led to the arrest of several people involved in managing accounts and “mule” accounts for the gambling network.
Minnie was later found at a house in Bangkok, where she was arrested and taken into custody for questioning.
The operation was launched following investigations that revealed Minnie’s network continued to operate online gambling websites despite her previous arrest in July 2023 on similar charges.
The network had reportedly changed URLs and website names to evade detection. -819 (TNA)
