SURAT THANI, Feb 24 (TNA) – Following the filming of The White Lotus Season 3 on Koh Samui, Surat Thani province, featuring Lisa (Lalisa Manobal) from BLACKPINK, the island has seen a significant tourism boost.
Fans of the series have been booking numerous Bangkok Airways flights to Koh Samui, resulting in nearly full flights of both Thai and international tourists. The surge in visitors has also led to packed Lomprayah high-speed ferry services to the island.
Hotels and tourist attractions on Koh Samui have benefited significantly, especially beach areas where tourists come to experience the natural scenery featured in the series. Popular filming locations such as Anantara Bophut, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, and Four Seasons hotels are seeing high occupancy rates as tourists seek to follow in Lisa’s footsteps.
Supparerk Thongsuk, President of the Tourism Association of Koh Samui, stated that the island was chosen for filming among many potential locations worldwide.
